Since March 2007, I've been a visiting researcher at the International Computer Science Institute (ICSI) in Berkeley, California.

Past events

January - After defending the Master Thesis "A phonotactic approach on spoken language recognition" on January 29th, I received my Electrical Engineering Degree from the Escola Tècnica Superior d'Eginyeria de Telecomunicacions, Barcelona (ETSETB, UPC).

November 2007 - I attended the final phase of the Certamen Universitario Arquímedes in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), the 29-30th. My work "Acoustic Event Detection in Smart-room environtments" received an honorable award from the panal.

April 13th - Müller and me submitted a paper to Interspeech'08 to present our work in acoustic event detection in automotive environtments. Good luck;)!!

April 11th - I attended the CUDA Technical Training Program at NVIDIA Corporation (Santa Clara, CA) prepared for the ParLab of UCB.

Last events

June 16th - Our paper "Speech-overlapped Acoustic Event Detection for Automotive Applications" has been selected for oral presentation at Interspeech 2008!!. Great!! :)
