Eero Silvennoinen

 
 

Dr. Eero Silvennoinen is the director of Software and Telecommunications Technologies at Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation. Tekes is the main government financing organisation for research and technological development in Finland. Dr. Silvennoinen is responsible for Tekes research financing and activities for software and telecommunications technology. He joined Tekes in 1988. Before that he worked for the Technical Research Center of Finland VTT, Nokia, Prodycon, Tampere University of Technology, and Tampella. He has a Doctor of Technology degree from Helsinki University of Technology. His specialities and interests include information and communications technologies and business, ICT applications in various industrial and service sectors, information, and knowledge society and innovation.
