Jaron Lanier Named One of Top 100 Public Intellectuals

September 30, 2005
Jaron Lanier was named by Foreign Policy and Prospect magazines as one of the top 100 public intellectuals, defined by the FP website as "someone who has shown distinction in their own field along with the ability to communicate ideas and influence debate outside of it". Foreign Policy invited the public to vote for their top five from this list of 100. Voting has now closed, but the list can be seen here. Results of the poll will be made public in November.
