ICSI hosted an Open House on Friday, February 27, 2004.
The event opened with a poster session that included posters detailing
recent research by the Speech Group and FrameNet, as well as two
Cybersecurity posters presented by Nick Weaver of the Networking Group.
Dave Gelbart, of the Speech Group, gave demonstrations of the SmartKom
Human-Computer Interaction system and the Meeting Browser, and Michael
Ellsworth of FrameNet gave a demonstration of the FrameNet database.
Following the poster session, ICSI director Nelson Morgan
gave a brief overview of the Institute, and Vern Paxson, a senior
researcher in the Networking Group, gave a lecture on Internet Worms.
