BEARS 2008 ICSI Open House

   
 

Feature Presentation by Dr. Gerald Friedland, ICSI, and Dr. Jerry Schumacher, Appscio, Inc.

Please join us for our annual Berkeley EECS Annual Research Symposium (BEARS) Open House on Thursday, February 21 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. ICSI scientists will be on hand throughout to discuss and demonstrate their latest research in networking, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, speech and natural language processing, and machine learning.

Our feature presentation at 3:00 will be given by Jerry Schumacher, Vice President of Professional Services at Appscio, Inc., and Gerald Friedland, a postdoctoral fellow with the ICSI Speech Group. Appscio, one of ICSI's newest industrial partners, offers a services platform for building web-based video-centric applications and integrating them into business operations and processes. Schumacher and Friedland will discuss their collaboration in this area.
