Since ICSI's founding in 1986 as a
joint project of the University of California at Berkeley and Germany's
Research Center for Information Technology GmbH (GMD), partnering has
been at its core. Today ICSI continues to enjoy vibrant collaborations
with sponsoring partners from industry, government, and other public and
private sector organizations worldwide.
ICSI offers its partners access to cutting-edge
research and opportunities to interact with experts in the fields of
networking, algorithms, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics,
computational linguistics and spoken language processing, computer architecture, and computer vision. Partners can
sponsor focused research initiatives and enjoy royalty-free licenses to
the intellectual property and technology that result.
ICSI's Partnership Program welcomes members in four
categories:
ICSI research has also spawned a rich portfolio of
patents and other proprietary, non-proprietary, and open-source
technology that is available for licensing.
For Partnership Program inquiries, please contact Roberto Pieraccini, Director of the Institute.
ICSI is a proud supporter of veteran-owned businesses.
