In this talk we explain the mysteries of venture capital in the US, how it operates, and how to obtain funding. The author raised VC funding for his start-up company, GWcom, and will share some of his experiences and insights.

Dr. Kuo is a true networking pioneer. He was a co-inventor of the ALOHA protocol in Hawaii, the director of SRI's networking group for many years, a consultant to several institutions of the US government and to the World Bank. He is now Vice-President of GWcom Inc, a company developing innovative two-way paging technology. The company was founded with venture capital in 1994.
