Due at the beginning of lecture. THURSDAY, November 18 1999
Ground Rules: Your homeworks should be in 12 point type, either 1 &
1/2 spaced or double spaced, with at least 1
inch margins. No late homeworks.

Important: You may decide who will read and grade your progress report and final paper. Put the name of your requested reader near the top of your progress report. Your only choices are Ben Bergen or George Lakoff. You may change you mind later, and there is no guarantee that the requests will be distributed in such a way as to allow you to have your first choice of reader.

Please provide us with the general flow of your paper. This should include
an outline of what the sections are, what they contain, and how they are
related. Your thesis should appear in the introduction.
