I am a senior research scientist at ICSI. Previously I was a senior technical staff  member at AT&T Labs - Research, in Florham Park, NJ.

My research interests include:

• Natural language and speech processing
• Spoken dialog and conversation modeling
• Meeting Processing
• Statistical language modeling, and 
• Machine learning for speech and language processing

Recent Activities

• IEEE SLT, Workshop on Spoken Language Technology will be held in Berkeley, CA, in December 2010.
• I serve on the IEEE signal processing society, speech and language processing technical committee (SLTC) as an elected member (2008-2012).
• I wrote a short article, A brief overview of meeting understanding tasks, for the IEEE SLTC newsletter.
• An article on LA times about meeting speech recognition.
