Hey Eric, why such a boring home page?
Now that I'm no longer a grad student, I felt that I needed a more professional home page. My old home page wasn't terribly exciting anyway, really.  This is where I've relegated the more personal information about myself, as well as some of my favorite links.

My full name, in case you're interested, is John Eric Fosler-Lussier -- the John is silent. I'm married to Danielle Fosler-Lussier. I'm originally from Liberty, NY, a small town in the Catskill Mountains. The fact that we're currently living in New Jersey I take as divine retribution for all of the Jersey jokes we told while I was growing up.

Check here for Liberty Central High School Class of 1989 reunion information.

I am a 1999 graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where I earned a Ph.D. in Computer science.

I am a 1993 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where I earned a B.A. in Linguistics and a B.A.S. in Cognitive science.

While at Penn, I helped Chip Buchholtz write a (now) shareware administration program called prod, which automatically renices and kills processes on Sun workstations. The software can be downloaded from Penn if you're interested.

As my research group knows, I have a personal vendetta against csh as a programming language.

I am a charter member of Dogbert's New Ruling Class

I used to sing with the U.C. Chamber Chorus. Here's a picture from a gig in 1998. I'm the one in the first row just to the right of the conductor's head.
