I work at the International Computer Science Institute, a private, non-profit research laboratory affiliated with the University of California, Berkeley.

A really nice summary of my current research is currently the headline article of the ICSI Gazette!

My interests focus on multimedia content analysis and its applications. My current focos is on audio processing but I am most interested in systems where the combination of different modalities (acoustic, visual) results in synergistic effects. I am currently excited about ideas that try to use large parts of the Internet as data source especially for security- and privacy-related topics (see also work). Here is a short bio.

If you wish a physical meeting with me contact me at the address on the right. Otherwise feel free to browse through my virtual presence.

Nice to meet you!
