My current research is in Computer Security, mostly focusing on high speed worms and related threats. I first grew interested in this field based on observing the possibility of a Warhol Worm, which could infect every potential host in 15 minutes. Similarly, Single Points of 0wnership on the internet: the security implications of Brilliant Digital and automatic updaters.
My previous research was in developing Fixed Frequency FPGAs, and related areas. My thesis work is best summarized in This paper: "The SFRA: A Corner Turn FPGA Architecture", while my whole thesis is here.

My father's business, Scientific Hatcheries, specializes in aquaculture, including zebrafish, guppies, and other species.
