Congratulations to Professor Wolfgang Wahlster, Foreign Member to the Engineering Academy of the Czech Republic

Wolfgang Wahlster Czech Academy of EngineeringProfessor Wolfgang Wahlster, ICSI Executive Committee and Board Member, has been honored with selection as a foreign member to the prestigious Engineering Academy of the Czech Republic. "To be elected as a foreign member of such an important academy, is a great honour and a privilege," said Wahlster.

Professor Wahlster is the Chief Executive Advisor at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), and has been working with Professor Vladimír Mařík of the Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU). Together, they launched the €50 million Research and Innovation Centre on Advanced Industrial Production (RICAIP).

"As an ICSI Board Member, Prof. Wahlster has been a passionate advocate for and significant contributor to the success of ICSI's international visiting scholars program, which has welcomed more than 1000 scholars from around the globe. We are delighted that the Engineering Academy of the Czech Republic has recognized Prof. Wahlster's many outstanding scientific achievements in computer science with this great honor," said Dr. Lea Shanley.
